Grant Macfarlane: Grant has a wealth of new media experience having started his career at DoubleClick in 2000. He then joined Google Inc in 2002 as Google UK’s 5th employee, and first Ad Words hire outside the US. He was instrumental in launching the ad words platform in the UK, and taking it to a market place dominated by agencies. Grant's knowledge spans all verticals having worked on most of the UK's largest search clients -some of which include: EBay, Amazon, Halifax, Moneysupermarket, Renault, Lastminute.com, Expedia, Dell, Price Runner, Exxon, BBC, British Gas to name a few. This led him down the path to become Head of Agency Client Services until his departure in 2007.

Grant won numerous award’s at Google including, Most valued player 2003, Google Luminary award 2005 and the EMG award 2007 for his work on the Google Ad words professional program where he personally trained all the top UK agencies on Google search.

Grant joined Media Contacts in January 2007, part of Havas Media as their Head of Search and lead the Global Center of Excellence for Northern Europe. This move gave Grant a holistic view of the marketplace, taking into account Graphical, SEO, Affiliate, and valuable insights and knowledge of life in an agency as opposed to media owner.

Pete Brooke Sumner:

Pete started his online career at Lastminute.com and then moved to Google UK. Pete worked in the UK and European markets in the local Google vertical and so has worked on clients like Bristish Gas, Uswitch, Yell.com and thegumtree. His extensive 5 years Google experience plus all the local African knowledge he gained by setting up the Google South African office gives TMI a great compettitive advantage. Pete runs the TMI office in Cape Town which is the outsource hub for all TMI UK clients and when he is not online you will find him at his favorite local surf spot!
